Blended Learning: Study, Speak, Succeed

Course Timeline

  • Each language level course contains 20 lessons

  • Lessons combine self-study units and live speaking classes with a native speaking coach of your choosing

  • You progress step by step, with regular feedback and assessments

You can study flexibly around your schedule while maintaining steady, structured progress.

Chatterbox uses a blended learning approach, combining flexible self-study with live speaking practice.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Self-study first – In the days leading up to your live session, you complete online lessons powered by Cerego covering vocabulary, grammar, and cultural insights.

  2. Live Practice next – You then apply what you’ve learned in a 1 to 1 live speaking class with your native speaking Language Coach.

This structure helps you arrive at each live class prepared and confident, so you can focus on speaking, not memorizing.

Your Learning Goals

Each course is designed to help you:

  • Build real world speaking confidence

  • Use your newly acquired vocabulary language accurately and naturally

  • Progress through CEFR levels with clear milestones

  • Apply your skills immediately in professional and social contexts

Your coach supports you in staying accountable, motivated, and focused on your personal goals.

Tests, Progress Checks, and Exams

To help you track your progress and stay on course:

  • Mid-course tests take place every five lessons: These short tests help you identify strengths and areas to revise, Based on your results, we recommend personalized revision assignments

At the end of the course, you will complete:

  • Practice Exam to familiarize yourself with the format of the formal assessment

  • Final Exam to confirm your CEFR level

Successful completion earns you a CEFR-aligned certificate accredited by the CPD Standards Office and allows you to progress to the next level.

Language Helper Support

Throughout your course, you’ll have access to a qualified Language Helper via chat.

They can help you with:

  • Questions about grammar or vocabulary

  • Writing support and corrections

  • Requesting additional resources

  • Tailored learning advice if you feel stuck

This means you’re never learning alone — support is always available when you need it.
