What is “Brain Freeze” in Cerego?
You might sometimes see a message about Brain Freeze while doing your self-study in Cerego. Don’t worry, this is a normal part of the learning process and is designed to help you learn more effectively!
Why does this happen?
Cerego is designed to encourage you to study around 15–20 minutes per day. Sometimes, you may experience what we call a brain freeze — a short pause on a specific assignment. This helps you take a moment to review and better remember what you’ve learned.
How does it work?
If you are working on a lesson and reach a brain freeze on one assignment, you can still continue working on the next assignments in that lesson. The brain freeze only applies to the specific assignment you were working on. The remaining assignments will unlock once you complete your recommended daily study time.
Helpful tip:
If you reach brain freeze for just one assignment, you may see the option to move to the next assignment or return to the Study Area.
If you have reached your brain freeze limit for the day, this option will no longer be available until the next day.
Remember, Brain Freeze is there to support your learning by helping you study in small, manageable steps so you can better retain information!
